Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying: “On the Day of Resurrection, my followers (or Ummah) will be summoned `Al-Ghurr Al-Muhajjalun’ from the traces of Wudu’. Whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so.”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
“Al-Ghurr-ul-Muhajjalun”: is the name that will be given on the Day of Resurrection to the Muslims because the parts of their bodies which they used to wash in ablution will shine then.
al-Ghurr: means beautiful, handsome.
al-Muhajjalun (sing. muhajjal): bright, radiant.
… This radiant beauty will be one of the unique distinguishing feature of the Ummah of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم on the Day of Judgment.
